pieces of time

i teach piano to a couple kids at church. lessons in thailand are priced in the exorbitant category, so unless you're a rockstar already, it's pretty impossible to afford them. luckily, the church has a piano. and i know how to play. so i teach. probably not very well.

but one of our favorite people here happens to be the father of one of my aspiring liszts, and he owns a watch repair shop. i think it's neat.

and the other day he gave me these:

fair trade! i feel so simultaneously lawyer and hipster. or something. fun time. er, pieces.

I just noticed your blog sidebar says "We's in love and we don't drive cars no more."
Let's be grateful you're teaching piano and not English. Oh wait... Just kidding Elyssa! I bet you're the best piano teacher in Northern Thailand.
Thanks for commenting on my blog, too.
