aside from my husband and warm weather, there are very few things i can abide for more than a year. this is probably a weakness, but there you have it. i thrive on change, even though i usually curse the change in the first few weeks. luckily, nick is on board with this attitude, as evidenced by his last-minute switch of majors and additional (totally unrelated) minor, his letter of resignation to NASA, and his decision to become a middle school math teacher in a foreign culture, instead--all of this was his choice, by the way. i know there are still legions of folks who think i forced this change on nick, but he IS a big boy, and, surprisingly, i actually don't wear the pants in this marriage... usually.
anyway, the moral of this mental evacuation is... i forgot, actually. darnit. and it was going to be so funny, too. agghhh!
but that does remind me of something. i want to start posting regularly. not obsessively, hopefully, but regularly. i remembered that i started this blog as a record of our lives, and if that's the case, i've been doing a very inconsistent--and, therefore, not very useful--job.. so get excited (as you obviously are after reading this gem; who could possibly stand to wait for more?), and remember:
oh my gosh, i just forgot. i have hemo brain today, i think.
but in other news, we're reading harry potter in thai. it is painful for us and highly entertaining--sadistically speaking--for those around us. check in next year when we finish number one.
that's all. less disappointing posts forthcoming.

thank you! You couldn't have given me a better 3/4 birthday prezzy!!!! Harry Potter in Thai sounds awesome, lucky you will be able to develop your Thai fantasy vocabulary, never know when that will come in handy :-). In Spain my friend knew this African guy who taught himself Spanish by reading Don Quixote, needless to say he was very interesting to talk to.
LOVE YOU!
