we're not dead!

but we did miss our return flight because of aaaaawesome passport issues. so we're still in the states. aaand figuring that one out. but we figure all's good and sabai, because that's what our thai friends would tell us, and they're pretty much always right.

and for anyone who's wondering, you can read the entire hunger games trilogy in virtually one sitting (stopping for food once and a few hours of sleep after that), but it's not necessarily a good idea, especially when you already have a kind of addictive/obsessive personality and are afraid of the dark so you have to wake your poor husband up to go to the bathroom with you at 4am when you can't hold it any longer because katniss sings a stinking creepy song in the woods and you're sure your friends upstairs have turned into monsters who will kill you.*

and now i want to read them all again, even though the writing is sometimes painful. don't even care. totally addicted.

and, dear thai family and friends: we ARE coming back! we ARE! don't even think you can get rid of us merely with silly little passport officials. we miss you way too much for that.

*i think these things in the dark even when i'm not reading books about people killing each other. it's one of my many adorable little quirks.

Awesome! I loved those books too! Supposedly they are making them into movies, the first one set to come out in 2012. Hopefully they stay true to the story! And I agree - I don't care so much about the writing - just that the story is interesting! And that one is!!

I had to stagger my Hunger Games books readings with lighter, "fluffy" books because I couldn't sleep and kept having dreams I was in the books. I can't even imagine reading them straight. I might have had a nervous breakdown...

love the books! can't wait for the movies, though of course they won't be anywhere as near as good as the books.

heard maybe you are coming to ohio in 2 weeks? truth? please let it be! :-)

Hopefully it wasn't as bad as the passport issues on the Thai/Cambodian border. One year ago I was spending my first week in Thailand. Such great times.

I am one of those bad people who makes others miss expensive flights because of visas. I'm sorry. You should come see me in the meantime... LA and SD are pretty close... let me know!
