vignette

i'm supposed to be writing my first-ever church talk in thai. i might die. literally.

so, seeing as it's still completely unwritten, we have to make ANOTHER "quick" trip to burma tomorrow for visas, and i'm starting to have a minor panic attack, i decided to ignore the problem and write a tardy blog post. fun, huh?

so here's what's been going on lately:

first threesome on a moto; have yet to experience 4 or 5 folks, but it's something i covet.

nick got a rain getup for his commute, which 3/4 of the time involves torrential weeping from the heavens.

and a farmer outfit. that he really wears.

oh, yeah, and the Flood. these are neighborhood boys coming to assault "teacher mana" and beg him to join them as they swim down the river that was once our street. as per usual, check run out for full details. this was a week ago; sadly, our "house" is still full of water. sigh. but everyone else thinks it's hysterical that there are fish in our house (literally), so we decided there's nothing to do but laugh along. and smack the newly spawned mosquitoes. incessantly. sabai, sabai, folks.

and, finally--dundunDUN!--the newest member of the morrill family. it's a "storm: design by japan," so you know it's good. always classy, we are.

time for a motocye ride. remember to send good vibes to this really white american who can't speak thai. talk + directing choir practice means i can't handle it. good thing everyone loves everybody here, and i won't be kicked out of the country for butchering their language in public.

lovelovelove!
